Happy (late) Father’s Day to all the Dad’s out there! I would have updated yesterday, but Derek and I were in Austin for the weekend visiting my parents and we got home late last night. This was our first trip out of town with our little baby 🙂 We arrived Saturday afternoon and went to The Oasis for dinner to celebrate an early Father’s Day (The Oasis is a fun restaurant where you sit out on patios that overlook Lake Travis). It’s amazing to be out there at sunset, but the problem during the summer is the heat. Oh man, it was so hot. They have fans with misters, but the table we were sitting at wasn’t near any of the fans. Poor Addy was NOT happy in her car seat and got pretty over heated. We took her out and held her and she started to cool down, but it was rough. She got so worked up it broke my heart. Poor peanut.
Yesterday was nice and low-key, we spent most of the day relaxing. Adelyn was so happy to be with her grandparents and aunties. Grandpa Joe hadn’t seen her since the day after she was born!!
Adelyn had a doctor’s checkup today. She weighs 8 lbs 1 oz and is 21 inches long. Our little 4 weeks old is growing strong! Next appointment is in 1 month when she gets her immunizations… that’s going to be scary (for her and for me!).
